Green computing, also referred to as green IT or sustainable IT, is the design, manufacture, use, and disposal of computers, chips, and other technology components and peripherals in a way that minimizes the negative environmental impact, such as lowering carbon emissions and the energy used by manufacturers, data centers, and other equipment.
